2002 TVR Chimaera 4.5 Mk3

V8 power, a glorious burbling exhaust note, curvy styling and almost nothing in the way of driver aids (not even ABS), make the TVR Chimaera a truly old-school sports car. If you like your performance thrills visceral and intense, then there really is nothing finer this side of an AC Cobra.

The Mk3 Chimaera produced from 2001 to 2003 was the last and much improved version, as compared with the earlier MK1s and 2s.  Build quality was better, as were electrics. Cosmetically, improvements were made to interior controls, with more supportive seats fitted from the Cerbera and the front headlights were faired in just like on the TVR Griffith. The rear light clusters were also upgraded .  

The rarest of all the Chimaeras, they produced less than 100 MK3s, until production ceased in 2003.

This stunning example is finished in Gunmetal with a beautiful burgundy leather interior, matching hood and 18″ TVR spider alloys.  With 59.5 k miles from new (an average of around 2.5K a year over its 24 years), the car has been conservatively used, but very well cared for and comes with a full service history, the last service being carried out 58,551 miles.

On the road, it is fabulous with an amazing soundtrack from the V8 and a super tight chassis, with very positive power steering.
